Reola Phelps

Reola Phelps is an organizational development consultant currently developing the consulting practice for the Presencing Institute. Reola's core strengths are designing and leading large-scale change projects and initiatives and inspiring leaders and teams to create and implement desired futures. Reola has recently been working and living in Africa where she ran major organizational development projects for World Vision, a non-profit relief and development organization. She led initiatives in Uganda, Congo, Ghana, Mozambique, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Zambia, Kenya, Mauritania, Swaziland and Tanzania. These projects included a major review of the functioning of the organization, followed by various interventions to improve organizational effectiveness.

Reola has also led a year-long leadership development program for high potentials for a division of General Electric. She was also the Business Coach for a large division of General Motors on a project to reduce costs and inefficiencies. Reola has coached the executive team of Shell Europe Oil Products in their pursuit to be the best European company. Other clients include IMB, Kennecott Energy and the Gap and she has worked on projects in China, the Philippines, South Africa, India, Singapore, Guatemala, Venezuela, Korea, Indonesia, Georgia, Canada and Europe.

Reola has led community leadership development programs for the American Leadership Forum. She worked in Silicon Valley, Hartford, Houston, Tacoma, Portland and also served as Director of Corporate Programs for the Colorado Outward Bound School. She currently serves on the board of Africa Bridge, an Oregon non-profit, and has overseen running an orphanage for children made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS in Tanzania. She holds degrees in English, Music and Education from Brigham Young University and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado.
